Day two started out with another trip back to maui’s Kahului airport to pick up Jordan and Ashley. We greeted them with Orchid leis and set off for the condo near Kaanapali, which should have taken 45 minutes but took us four hours.
I’m hungry and I want to shower, were Jordan’s first words after Hi. We took care of the hunger with a stop at Cary and Eddie’s Hideaway for breakfast buffer but the shower would have to wait.
We stopped off at the “hippy” town of Piai for gelato and window shopping. We looked through the glossy real estate brochure picking out the $3.5 million dollar house we would buy after we win the Powerball lottery.
Next stop was scenic pull off on the way to Lahaina. Once we got to Lahaina we shopped and bought this time – Hawaiian dresses and shirts for tonights luau. That took an hour, dress shopping you know cant be rushed. Then to the market for groceries for the condo.
Finally at the condo, the pacific ocean calling our names, we grabbed towels and jumped in to conquer the waves with our bodies. The water here is much warmer than Carlsbad!
Hungry again, showered, and dressed in our new clothes, we went off to feast – The Feast of Lele luau in Lahiana. Five courses and three mai tais later, full of visions of polynesian dancers in our heads, it was time to sleep – the end of another awesome full day in Maui.
