When I landed in Honolulu it was raining. I loved it, the smell, the mystic feeling, the tropical atmosphere.
I only had an hour layover in Honolulu before catching the flight to Maui so I walked in and out of the airport shops checking everything out.
When I landed in Maui I was greeted immediately with leis and a sense of calm. Dad was there to pick me up and off we went to explore the areas he has gotten to know over the past two weeks (he is in Maui for a month, me a week)
I was starving so he took me to Cary & Eddies Hideaway for the buffet. They knew him by name, he had become one of the locals already. He manages to find these great off the beaten track places. At 430 pm we were the only table and in time to get the discount on the buffet and enjoy a mai tai before dinner. We will be back during this trip no doubt.
